How do I scan a receipt?

Tap the "Add Receipt" button, point your camera at the receipt, and finSnap will automatically detect and extract the total amount.

Is my data stored online?

No. All your receipt data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

Why does the app ask for Face ID?

finSnap uses Face ID (or Touch ID) to protect your financial information. Only you can access your receipts and spending data.

Why is the scanned amount incorrect?

OCR works best with clear, well-lit receipts. Make sure the receipt is flat, well-lit, and the total is visible. You can always edit the amount manually after scanning.

Can I delete a receipt?

Yes. Swipe left on any receipt in the list to delete it.

What devices are supported?

finSnap requires iOS 17.0 or later. A device with a camera is recommended for receipt scanning.
